I am a first grade teacher. My goal is to create a classroom rich environment that allows the students comfort and ease in the reading process. A classroom carpet would set the tone for learning and provide the students with a wealth of learning opportunities!
Currently.. we cannot have shared learning or "circle time" experiences because it is so uncomfortable to sit on the cold floor. The reach for reading rug would provide the ideal situation for students to read and learn together in small group setting on a fabulous carpet!
My goal is to have two nice sized carpets that would provide a floor base for my classroom that would allow the students to do project based learning at its finest. Students can stretch on .. read... work on the floor in comfort.
Please help me achieve my goal in providing ideal comfort for my students. In addition to helping my students it will help students below me as well. The noise that is created from having a noncarpeted area makes it hard for the students below to hear their teacher. We do have hearing impaired children in the class below and I know they would strongly benefit from having a classroom carpet. This carpet is guaranteed for at least 5 years. I know it would help hundreds of children in the next five years. Thank you for helping the children!
