This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have started a community garden and a community fridge. The garden was started by my students themselves and so was the refrigerator. We get a lot of donors that donate goods for the garden and refrigerator. My students need a laptop to create fliers so that they can get more members of the community to come to the garden and get food. The resources on the laptop will allow them to create beautiful, attractive fliers that catch the attention of the people in our community. They are only getting attention by word of mouth, but they want to impact a larger group through the use of this laptop.
