Reaching New Heights with Vertical Learning!

Help me give my students the tools they need for vertical learning. The hanging chart paper, markers, clipboards, and storage will help student engage in their learning because they will be moving around and collaborating.

My Project

The chart paper and mini chart paper easels will make a difference in my students' learning. Students who are out of their seats and moving around the room are able to collaborate and better engage with the content they are learning. When students are sitting they are passive learners. Studies show that students who are up and moving have better executive functioning, and their learning becomes more meaningful.

My goals for this project are to provide tools for my students to engage in vertical learning.

These tools are essential for them to be up, moving, and having conversations with each other as they learn.

Vertical learning is essential to keep students engaged. However, my students are special because they are entering their third year of dual language immersion. When they enter our classroom, I want them to be able to make connections in English to the content they have learned in Spanish. The best way for them to do that is engaging them with vertical learning opportunities.
