I teach in a large district in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Our school is very diverse and a lot of students do not come to school with appropriate needs and supplies. The elementary school that I work in is a Title 1 school so many of the supplies and materials I buy for my classroom comes from my own pocket money.
I put my students before myself as they are a part of me.
I treat my students as they are my own children which is where my passion for teaching comes from. School is a safe haven for many of our students and providing the constant stability, support, love, and care is what makes our students strive to be better and create a successful future. They are smart, clever, and unique.
My Project
These supplies will continue to enhance my reading intervention groups. Some of these supplies will help keep my students safe, and keep them organized with their learning. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Being able to provide my students with basic supplies will help enrich their learning experience. Using the stools allows my small group of students to be together at the table rather than individually at their desks.
