My Students
These hardworking students attend a Title I city school and are 97% African American learners with a sustainable special education population. The majority of the students are functioning slightly below expected levels in reading comprehension and math according to the district's projections.
These students are in need of these supplies to have hands-on interactive learning tools.
They are a fun-loving, creative group of students who are "owning" their learning as best they can. This community of learners is prepared to work to succeed; they understand their roles and responsibilities as they relate to their education.
My Project
At this stage in second grade, my students struggle with developing the reading fluency and comprehension skills needed to meet individualized goals and to progress as readers. Students become frustrated and unmotivated. Hands-on activities can foster reading skills. My students need your help with additional opportunities to build their reading skills by appropriate levels.
My students need this Versa-Tiles Literacy Kit to meet their individualized reading levels in a multi ability classroom.
Students will have a multi-sensory tool that supports and reinforces transforming skills and abilities. Please help my students improve their reading skills with daily fun practice.
