My Students
Opening the minds of our students can be as easy and amazing as a click and swish. Having innovative technology such as iPads in the classroom can encourage and motivate our students' desire to learn.
I have a fifth grade class made up of 25 students that have the patience of my hungry puppy waiting for his dinner.
They are hungry to learn which makes my job enjoyable and challenging, but in a good way. They soak up information like a sponge and want more then I can give in a class period. With the use of an iPad in the classroom they can research and explore what they want to know. However, currently we only share one iPad for the entire class.
My Project
The educational apps, research capabilities, photo and video documentation, and assessment possibilities are just a few things for which my students would utilize the iPad for. By adding iPads into the classroom, the students will have more access to creative and motivated learning. My project purpose is to provide my students opportunities to use technology to develop life and career skills.
The iPads can introduce innovative skills through informational media, technology and educational apps.
My students will get the opportunities to readily access it for research and information. I would also like to use the iPad to differentiate the curriculum with the use of the available educational apps and teacher made lessons, along with the use of the camera tool for documentation. I have used our single iPad for assessment and will continue to do so but with more vigor and regularity.
