Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a beginner-friendly telescope and laser pointer that will allow students to explore the night sky with ease and enthusiasm. This telescope is designed to connect to an iPad or phone, eliminating the need for students to take turns at an eyepiece and enabling them to program and search for constellations and nebulas independently. By providing students with the tools to pursue their own interests, we can foster engagement and learning in a way that is both meaningful and enjoyable.

Programs like ours are especially crucial for students from low-income and underrepresented communities, who often lack access to enriching extracurricular activities.

By donating to our fundraiser, you will help ensure that no student is excluded from the opportunity to reach for the stars. Your support will enable us to provide a hands-on, interactive experience that can inspire a lifelong passion for astronomy and science.
