Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in grades 3, 4, and 5. The students in my class have autism. They participate in STEAM education with their general education peers daily. Working alongside their peers helps all students understand how people of all abilities are valuable members of the school community.

My Project

Students are participating in remote learning. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are important parts of education in the 21st century, for students with and without special needs.

If our students were learning on campus they would be members of the school robotics team.

Now they will have the opportunity to learn and experience robotics from their homes and compete with their peers by racing through homemade obstacle courses.

Creating their robots will provide needed enrichment and critical thinking skills for all levels of learners in our fully inclusive classroom.
