This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are truly amazing. They work hard, play hard, and are full of life. My students are a joy to teach.
And my students are diverse: 90% are considered low-income, over 55% are English language learners, and almost 20% have special needs,
Continuing to learn how to teach and reach my students is imperative. My students deserve the best, and it is my goal to become the best!
My Project
My students deserve the best instruction possible, and my goals is to be the best teacher I can be. I am working diligently towards that goal, studying and applying what I learn, taking professional development, and reflecting deeply on successes and setbacks in the classroom (which is both online and in-person).
Learning to be a better researcher and to begin action research in my classroom is the next step of my growth plan.
I want to investigate new ways of teaching, and track my students' learning. This project will help me work on this goal.
Donors Choose donors, like yourself, have made an enormous impact on my teaching. My students have completed dissections, and launched rockets, and have made amazing learning gains and discoveries. I wish I could convey how much your kindness has meant to all of us!
