This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Without a school nurse all school year, the health of my students became even more crucial as we continue to provide in-person instruction in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I help ensure my students stay safe despite a nurse vacancy by keeping my classroom stocked with items like tissues, bandages, paper towels, and disinfectant wipes.
These supplies are used frequently, though, and the cost to replace them adds up over the course of a school year.
I also need to help my students stay academically prepared with other supplies such as extra laptop chargers when they are needed for instruction; folders for organizing materials; and poster board to give students the space they need to put their imagination into a classroom project.
