This year marks my fifth year of teaching, and it has been the best one yet! Not only are we a brand new school, but we are a school of choice. The students, teachers, and staff made the decision to attend our school! It has been an amazing journey, and one that others may never get to experience. I am extremely humbled and grateful for this incredible opportunity! I have twenty two students that come from a variety of different backgrounds, and have specific interests, abilities, and personalities.
These students are excited to come to school and they are eager to learn, collaborate, and discover all of the amazing things they are capable of!
While the students show eagerness to come to school each and every morning, like most students, they long for a creative push that ignites an excitement about learning. We love to dance and sing, collaborate, and use technology to push our learning to the limits.
My classroom is full of world changers. We persevere when things are difficult, and we work diligently to create meaningful relationships with other teachers, grade levels, and school members.
My Project
Many teachers attend several trainings and workshop opportunities throughout the year. While each of these are unique, there is something magical about the Ron Clark Academy. The Ron Clark Academy is different, and it is something that educators are passionate about attending. The Ron Clark Academy provides teachers with authentic experiences and the ability to re-energize and transform their classroom. The chance to attend the Ron Clark Academy would certainly be a dream come true!
Teaching is my passion, but this opportunity will be a real game-changer in my educational journey, as well as my students' journey to becoming life long learners.
This professional development opportunity will enhance our school culture while providing rigor, relevance, student engagement, and vertical alignment for all subjects and grades. It will build strong relationships between our staff, students, and our community. It will be powerful enough to change the way education looks and sounds in our school. It will create an even more exciting place to learn and grow.
