I need to FUEL my PASSION with Ron Clark, along with his master teachers, while attending the Ron Clark Academy conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This project will cover the cost of admission and food.
We are a school where students and parents choose to be part of this school & adventure. While I've been teaching for 11 years, it is the first year that my students will experience every new concept and challenge that Kindergarten. I want to create a memorable and extraordinary year for them. I have 22 students who are coming from across the district. My students come from different backgrounds, have a variety of interests and various personalities.
These students come to school eager to learn, and know they are entering a safe environment where they are free to take risks.
However, like most students, they need a creative push to get them excited about learning. They love music, dancing in the classroom, and learning through technology. My students have a growth mindset and are learning to persevere when things become difficult. Our school believes in vertical alignment and relationships. This experience will fuel me to inspire my students, who will love and value learning even more, and allow vertical alignment to grow and have meaning across our campus.
My Project
This Ron Clark Academy Experience is not just another workshop teachers go to because they have to. Teachers are excited and fired up about attending the RCA in order to become even better educators.
I am a passionate teacher, but this opportunity will be a real game changer in my educational journey, as well as my students journey to learning and growing.
A team of teachers would like to attend this professional development opportunity together. This opportunity will enhance our school culture while providing rigor, relevance, student engagement and vertical alignment for all subjects and all grades. It will build strong relationships between our staff, students, and our community. It will change the way education looks and sounds and it will make my elementary school an even more exciting place to learn and grow.
