Raz-Kids Helping K-Kids

My Students

Kindergarten is a crucial year for students. They learn the school rules, how to get along with others, but above all how much fun reading can be. Many of my students have never been exposed to books before coming to my classroom and it is my job to show them the joy of reading.

I work in an area of high-poverty with a high free and reduced lunch rate.

My students are often lucky to make it to school in time for breakfast. I have a large group of Kindergarteners who are ready to blossom as readers, and writers, and mathematicians. School is a fun and safe place for my students and it is my job to make sure they want to come to my class and they have what they need to be successful.

My Project

By having a Raz-Kids subscription my students will be able to reach a whole library of books at their own reading level. This program will allow them to listen to stories, read stories, and record their own voice reading the story. This program will help my students in all of the early stages of reading. It will help with fluency and comprehension and allow me to share books in a variety of genres as they move through the levels.

This project will help my Kindergarten students for the next three years.

They will become better readers and have more books available for them to read on their own. Thank you for considering my project and helping my students become readers!
