FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Dolce's classroom raised $259

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are dreamers, believers, and leaders. They are kind, inquisitive, and hardworking. In my class, most students are English Language Learners, with 65% of the students at the school speaking a first language other than English. Because we are a full inclusion school, many of my students also have a variety of disabilities.
The school serves a high-poverty area in Boston, and the faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with the best education, for they deserve nothing less.
My Project
Please help my book-hungry students get their hands on high quality texts. These text sets will replenish and revitalize our old, outdated library. So many of our books are ripped, stained, and falling apart after years of use. Even to the most enthusiastic reader, they are unappealing. In order to foster a love of reading, we need engaging, readable books.
With no school library, the only texts that my students can access are the ones I can provide for them in my classroom library.
Our library is very limited and outdated in regards to who is reflected in the books. We are in need of more diverse books that reflect, value, and celebrate my students' identities. Please help us!
