My Project

My students are a diverse group of fourth graders who attend an urban, public elementary school in Northern California. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. They come to school with a broad range of learning experiences.

My students are eager to learn and do their best.

They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can to be successful one day. My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day!

Donations to this project will not only enhance our classroom library but help students with their literacy skills such as fluency and comprehension.

Your help will allow my students to experience literature at their level with new and exciting books and topics.

This is exactly what they need (along with instruction) for them to become better readers. By giving our class books (some are multiple copies of the same titles for buddy reading) you will help me help them to learn to read and enhance their love of reading!

This will have lasting impacts on the life of my students by cultivating their already existing love of reading and hopefully create life-long independent readers.
