it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing little first graders that any teacher would love to have in their classroom! I have sixteen "eager cherubs" that are more precious to me than you could imagine. They are smart, energetic, curious, and excited about learning. And because of this, It is my wish to be there for them to provide the support they need during these uncertain times.
I teach at an inner-city public school where 70% of the students receive free and reduced lunch and breakfast.
My students are pretty diverse in culture. Many of my students are second language learners. It is my goal to provide the simplest of materials that will aid all of my children in their success.
My Project
Hooray! It's the start of a new school year, and I could not be more excited. My little third graders are raring to go, and I want to be ready for them. As a part of the classes' daily routine, the children come together to discuss meaningful things that impact their lives. The discussions support my students' social and emotional needs and build a safe learning environment where everyone has a voice. In the past, the children would sit in pairs on the carpet and have their discussions. Due to the ongoing health crisis, the children will need to sit at least 3 to 6 feet apart. The carpet squares will allow the children to come together for their daily meetings while sitting at a safe distance. Your kindness is just what the students need to regain a sense of normalcy within their learning community.
