My students need 1 LEGO Mindstorm kit to have more access to engineering and programming skills.

My Students
The future engineers and computer programmers learn their craft early. By providing a LEGO Robotics kit for my classroom, the students will learn how to build and program an autonomous robot that will solve various problems and complete complex tasks.
My students come from a rural area with a strong community base.
Our students want to learn and use new technology. As a teacher, I am always inspired by how much creativity my students have. Problem solving and critical thinking are always a part of their learning process and I would like to provide an enrichment opportunity for them.
My Project
Being able to problem solve, build and test are all skills that will be needed in future jobs. My students would like to have an opportunity to use this 1 LEGO robot set to learn how to build and program a robot to perform tasks. Adding on a problem that must be solved will help challenge the students to work together, observe, adapt and communicate. Because LEGO offers endless possibilities, students will see how engineering and testing are used to make some of the most modern equipment and how to improve on it.
It is so important that my students are exposed to critical thinking in order to solve a real-world problem.
This kit will provide them with a chance to learn real engineering and computer science skills that will give them an advantage as they enter high school.
