Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my Title I school are kind, innocent, and hardworking. I want to keep them excited and engaged throughout their learning career.
Our school is a place where we are excited about learning and motivated by classroom chants, funny faces, praise, and rewards.
I want to instill in my students a love for learning. Our goal is to open the doors in their minds to new worlds where imagination and putting thoughts to paper is exhilarating. I need your help to do that.
We choose to teach students to be responsible for their own learning, and motivate them to love reading, writing, math, science, making friends, and attending school. They know how much we care for them, and they know how hard we work to get new things for our classrooms. Finally, they know that our classrooms are only as fun and successful as it is because of class volunteers and donors like you.
My Project
I'm so excited to have this in our classroom! Flocabulary is a an online subscription where I can find rap songs and videos about all of the concepts we will cover this year.
I will also be able to assign videos for homework and test the students on all of the content, then analyze all of their responses.
I can't wait to see all of my students entranced by these exciting videos and hear them rapping the vocabulary words we struggle with, and finally be excited for their homework and sharing it with their siblings! This is going to be a fun year!
