My students need 28 fantastic novels, including "Ghost of Spirit Bear" and "Sunrise Over Fallujah".

I teach language arts to 7th grade students in a public school in Western PA. About 30% of our students receive free and reduced lunches.

My classes are full of a wide variety of students ranging from the "gifted" classification to "special needs." It is difficult to meet the reading needs of such a diverse population. Some of my students do not have the resources to buy expensive books or get transportation to the library. I've had students tell me that they have never read a book before on their own. I strive to find each child a book that they will fall in love with so that they can be life-long readers.

We need more books for our classroom library. I had students fill out a survey of books that they loved or would like to read. We then typed up this list and again had students rate the books that they really liked and thought were great. Getting these books would mean the world to my students. Some have been waiting to read certain books for months. I cannot afford to keep buying books for our classroom library. It is a great thing but the more they read; the more they want to read. Please help!

We recently had a book fair at school and many students wanted to buy books but couldn't afford them. They was very sad to see. I buy what I can but it really adds up, especially with hardback books. Please help my students read the newest, most exciting teen literature out there today! I feel that reading can really open up the world to them.
