Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our public school come from diverse backgrounds and have had a variety of life experiences.
One thing that unites all of them is a love of hands-on learning.
As the STEM teacher at the school I get the chance to provide them all with a variety of challenging physical activities to help foster their problem solving and teamwork skills.
My Project
Ok this is the third project that I've put together this year with the gift cards parents sent me after the first project! People were so unbelievably generous I'm still having trouble processing it.
For this go round I've picked out a set of race car ramps that students can use to test the cars they've built, along with using matchbox cars to test how friction interacts with the cars.
Along with this ramp, I'm also asking for a set of electronic buzzers to help make Jeopardy style contests more engaging for the students.
