Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For most of my TK students, this is their first experience setting foot in a classroom. I have the privilege of creating as many positive academic, social, emotional, and cognitive experiences as I can for them.
My goal is to provide my five year-olds to early science and math opportunities to prepare them for their academic careers, as well as to set up my young scholars with as many 21st-century skills as possible.
These skills begin here in TK! Providing my students with this Ramps & Balls Exploration Set will set my students up in a number of foundational areas to become a 21st-century (and a life long) learner.
My students will be encouraged to use scientific and mathematical vocabulary (ramps, incline plane, spheres, etc.), continue to develop social skills such as turn taking and engaging in conversation with their peers, and will naturally foster the innate curiosity and creativity five years old hold. This project also will provide my students with engaging ways of critically thinking and problem solving.
My students will use these materials daily and this project will also benefit my students for years to come!
