R.A.M. Tech (Reading and Math Technology)

My Students

Our school is designated as a Title I school, and some of our students do not have the advantage of having computers/tablets in their homes. Introducing them to up-to-date technology will enable them to not only boost their reading and math skills, but will enhance their knowledge of technology.

The majority of my students come from low income families.

Several of my students are ELL (English Language Learners). No matter what background my students have, they have one thing in common. They LOVE technology and thrive when given opportunities to use technology as a learning tool. Not only will it help them improve in reading and math, but also with exploring the world around them as they learn to explore the globe through the Internet.

My Project

Using the technology that this project will provide will encourage my students in a new and challenging way that will help them improve and reinforce their Reading and Math skills. I will be able to access a multitude of educational websites (applications) which will help increase the students' math and reading skills. The iPad will be placed in a learning center for my students to use.

With the iPad my first grade students will have the opportunity to increase their media/technology skills.

I am trying my best to give these students the advantage and knowledge of using technology daily. The iPad will open up a world of learning which will excite and motivate their young minds.
