My students are spirited learners who are eager to learn as much as they can about music! We are a diverse school with students from many different backgrounds who are all learning how to collaborate by making music together. I teach students of many different ability levels and learning types, such as ADHD and learning differences. Many of my students struggle to be successful in the general classroom setting, but music can give them a way to shine.
My students love to sing, play instruments, and be creative!
They love to compose and perform on classroom instruments. I strive to make sure that my students get an enriching and individualized experience in my general music class. I am always searching for ways to supplement my music lessons to keep them interested and inspired.
My Project
An essential part of music class is learning to perform together as an ensemble. Having a large selection of Orff barred instruments allows for my students to participate in ensemble playing and improve their overall musicianship.
Playing together in an ensemble requires teamwork and cooperation.
Students must be able to play their instrument independently while also listening to the other players. These four Sonor Glockenspeils will increase the number of students who are able to play and participate at the same time.
In addition to playing barred Orff instruments together in an ensemble, my students will love the special sound effects created by the ocean drum. This will add an extra, colorful, layer of sound to our class performances.
