Raising the Bar for Distance Kindergarten

Help me give my students the best online learning experience possible with this incredible rolling chart and whiteboard. It will make virtual lessons a breeze for me! The quality cardstock and chart paper will make virtual learning vivacious!

My Students

The students I serve are a part of a large urban district, rich in cultural and linguistic diversity. My students enjoy challenges and a fun, creative learning environment. Parents and families are valued in the learning process and students’ unique needs and skills are a part of how I tailor instruction. My approach is to foster social-emotional strengths in students so they have the confidence to overcome challenges and set goals for their academic success. I love teaching Kindergartners and being a part of a community of learners along with their families, the district, state, and world.

Now that we have had to move to remote learning I am excited to rise to the challenge of virtual Kindergarten!

My Project

The Easel and chart paper materials will streamline the process of teaching remote Kindergarten because I will be able to show students clearly how I can track my thinking and learning throughout reading, writing and math lessons. I will also be able to use it to display charts and science or social studies materials like maps, and other visuals that enrich students' learning experiences.

Although I have and use many incredible online materials, I think it is just as important to show students the use of paper, pencil, and creative ways to be "low-tech" and continue the kinds of routines we've learned during in-person time at school.

Keeping a balance of technology and paper/pencil tasks is my goal.

The cardstock will be used to create materials like number lines, math mats or writing grids so that I can distribute them to students to use at home and during our virtual lessons. Thank you!
