Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, hardworking, and deeply proud of their identities. They come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and many are first-generation students striving to make their families proud. In our classroom, we work hard to create a space that feels respectful, inclusive, and connected to the real world—especially when it comes to building civic awareness and cultural pride.
This project will help us display both the United States flag in our classroom using professional-grade flagpole kits and detailed eagle toppers.
These items will allow us to start the day with meaning and reflect on the shared values of unity, respect, and responsibility. The flags will be used for schoolwide events, classroom lessons on government and identity, and community celebrations like Constitution Day, Veterans Day, and California Admission Day.
These resources will turn our room into a space that honors history and encourages students to see themselves as active members of their community. Thank you for helping us raise the flags with pride!
