My Project
Agriculture and Animal Science students learn best by doing. As a teacher, I can tell them all there is to know about raising and processing chickens and it will not have the impact that raising the birds will have.
We learn by doing and in Agriculture classes, learning is always fun!
We recently ordered baby chicks and are in the process of building chicken tractors to allow the chickens to safely free-range. The items in this project will be used to process the chickens when they reach maturity.
Students in Agriculture courses must complete Supervised Agriculture Experiences (SAEs) as an element of their class. Many students have jobs or raise livestock at home, but in our community, some students do not have the financial ability to participate. This project will allow ALL members the ability to complete their SAEs, right here at school!
