My Students
My students are a diverse group that blend together to help each other learn and be successful. At our school we strive to create a "family" where students from all different grade levels and personal backgrounds feel comfortable and confident in themselves, each other and their teachers. We strive to create a school where people feel valued as an individual and as a learner. Everyone has something to offer and everyone is an important part of the "family".
At our school our mantra is that we are " The best at getting better".
Which means we (students and staff alike) are always trying to grow as people and learners.
My Project
Through the use of the interchangeable whiteboard paddles my students have may ways to show me understanding. The paddles are a great way for me to complete formative assessments as they are very versatile. As a math teacher, we have many concepts we cover. The paddles have a blank side as well as a graph side. However, you can also put in number lines, quadrant charts, number line sentences. The opportunities are limitless. The paddles are fun, interactive and engaging.
As we all know there is more than one way to solve a problem.
The paddles will improve my students lives for the better as the paddle is a multipurpose tool that allows the students to show me there understanding in many different ways.
