My Students

My students are from the inner city. They are predominately African American and are surrounded by challenges every day. Many of my students are living in severe poverty. Their spirits long to be free and rejoice, which is exactly what the cheer team does. Providing the cheer team at the school gives access for the students to be a part of a positive, learning, team building, and communication skills.

Despite the odds, my students find hope through doing the cheer team.

I admire their creativity to invent new things. Given an opportunity, the cheer team can help my students with academics and become productive members of society in the future.

My Project

The cheer team will use the pom poms to get the crowd hype for the basketball games and during competitions. The cheer shoes will give the girls great support while cheering. The cheer needs needs to be able to cheer with shoes that are specific for the sport. Lastly, the duffle bags will allow the cheer team to be responsible with all of their cheer team item.

Cheering has been the highlight of the the teams week!

The cheer team looks forward to practicing and going to the games. The students will be able to create different formations using the blue and white poms. Having the duffle bags, cheer shoes and poms will give the team the confidence to cheer and spread joy.
