Rainy Day Recess- PART 2- Boots

Help me give my students rain boots to splash, play, and jump in all the puddles their hearts desire! We want a class pair of rain boots so that we can go outside no matter the weather.

My Students

I have been delighted with the most ambitious, hardworking, and persistent kindergarteners in the Pacific Northwest. This unique bunch came together to create our integrated kindergarten program. This program has several students with special needs and a handful of typically developing peers.

We are quickly creating a community of thoughtful, intentional, and tolerant citizens.

We are learning so much more than core academics, we are striving for loving and intellectual community members.

I am so thankful for my class, they are ready and eager for any challenge I bring forth. They explore, create, and engage in every activity. The smiles and laughter make each day worth it.

My Project

Our integrated kindergarteners need to be able to go and play outside no matter the weather. More importantly, I hate telling my students to stay out of the water and puddles. With these rain boots, we can laugh and play on even the rainiest of days! This second wave of supplies is to get the universal rain BOOTS for our students to wear outside. Our class is comprised of typically developing and students with special needs. Almost all of them LOVE water.

Kindergarteners can't stay away from the puddles and the water spouts, so why make them?

They roll, jump, drink and splash in any body of water in sight. I want to encourage this play and not shut it down. Help me make their little dreams come true!
