My Project
My students face unthinkable challenges everyday and yet they show up and persevere. Being a special education teacher at the Title I school comes with its own set of challenges, and one of those is the emotional regulation of my students. Our school has a huge focus on Social-Emotional Learning and we incorporate that into our everyday teaching and learning experience. We want to create a space where students can come and let all of their anger out, meet their sensory needs and regulate their emotions through play in a relaxing and calm environment. They are working each day to improve their social and emotional skills. However, some additional resources such as the Learning Advantage Rainbow Activity Wall Panels in the school sensory room would be awesome so that I can continue to provide them with everything they need and more to be successful!
