Rainbow Fish

Help me give my students this beautiful fish tank. Having fish in our classroom shows the children how to be responsible to take care of a living animal and helps children who need a quiet space.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a low-income community in a Pre-K setting, where children aren't exposed to different environments and resources. The students that come into my classroom are amazing; they are willing to learn about all kinds of things. They are great children that try their best to learn and grow. My students come from a low-income community and many do not speak English. They look forward to coming to school to see what the classroom looks like and what new things they are going to learn. The children enjoy hands-on for a better understanding. They explore many activities and themes that they were never exposed to.

Students are happy to return to in-person learning, seeing their friends, learning and supporting each other, Visual and hand-on projects for all the children that have language barriers.

These children are motivated, and willing to learn. We compare the real-life experiences with what we teach inside the classroom. I enjoy exposing the children to a whole new world, with technology, classroom pets.

My Project

My project for the upcoming year is to provide the children with a fish tank that children can sit and relax while about the fish. They can explore the fish environment and how they live. What do they eat, how do they breathe, where do they come from, and then turn it into an instructional lesson for higher thinking order. We low income families that can't afford a fish tank. We can provide children with the experience of taking care of them. Having a classroom pet will be a joy.
