My Project

Reading manipulatives are an incredible tool to boost students engagement and increase students excitement about reading. These manipulatives will help my class practice working with rhyming words, memorizing sight words, working with consonant-vowel-consonant words, reading and writing consonant blends and digraphs correctly, constructing sentences, and reading independently. Developing strong reading skills in primary grades is essential for success throughout one's educational journey. If a student is reading below grade level at the end of third grade, they face overwhelming odds in trying to catch up to their peers. Help me give my students every opportunity be successful.

Reading manipulatives are proven to build students engagement in the language arts, and help children retain details and concepts they learn during reading and writing lessons.

There is no substitute for hands on practice. While manipulatives are commonly included with math curricula, they are equally important in developing literacy skills. When students can actively interact with text, they are better able to draw meaning from what they are reading.
