My Students

I have the honor of teaching second graders who attend an exceptional elementary school in San Diego, California.

Unlike many public schools, we are not provided with extra federal funding that many other schools receive.

I would still love to provide my deserving students with enriching resources. We are a diverse neighborhood school serving military families from the nearby base.

My students are a creative, enthusiastic, inquisitive, and diverse group of children who embody all that is right in society. Students who attend our school are taught to be responsible critical thinkers. They show empathy for each other and the world at large.

My Project

I spent a wonderful day with my niece this past summer and all she could talk about was going to Harvard Law like Michelle Obama at 9 years old! She was so empowered to grow up and change the world. She could not stop talking about her plans! I asked her how she knew so much about Rad Women and she told me there was a Rad Women section in her library.

I want my students to see their own limitless potential with messages of empowerment.

These books will help me create a Rad Women section of my classroom library. By having access to books about women, young and old, who accomplished great things, my female students will see their own potential. By having access to these books, ALL my students we learn how women have shaped our world.
