This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What was the first book you loved? Do you remember the first book you couldn't put down? This project will increase the variety of texts in my classroom library to create more of those experiences for my students.

The books I'm requesting have been hand selected to engage middle school reluctant readers.

Relatable characters, compelling conflict, and realistic plots all help students connect with a text and keep reading. These titles are filled with meaningful plot elements that will keep my students reading, increasing their independent fluency and comprehension and strengthening their independent reading life.
