This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students would benefit greatly from having Sphero Indi Robots to expand their coding skills beyond the computer. Our school is located in a rural area and serves 3rd through 5th grade.

It is my desire to provide my students with quality experiences that introduce them to new and future career possibilities.

I am looking to purchase materials that foster and engage students in computer programming and collaboration that are hands-on and student-led. These materials will provide my students with a step into the next-generation technology and engineering pathways. I would love to add these fun robots for all of my students to benefit from this engaging activity that expands their thinking and knowledge in the computer science world.

My Project

My students are learning to code using various online programs. The Sphero Indi Robot will provide my students with another step into the world of computer programming. Students can use Sphero Indi to solve a real problem, they will work in teams to determine how to best code Indi to perform a task. My students are eager to program the Robots and I would love to provide this opportunity for them.

Students are learning much more than coding with a robot.

They are learning to collaborate, design and create as they code robots to perform a task.
