Help me give my students winter clothing that best fit for Alaska weather. Requesting this winter jackets specifically for students who's family are new to the state and are still really struggling finding jobs trying to settle in.

There are huge number of students together with their parents that came from different foreign countries like Ukraine, Russia, Nepal,Asia and Pacific Islands who are seeking refuge and trying to start a living in the state of Alaska.These new students are distributed all throughout the state of AK school districts and several of them are enrolled at ASD-SAVE. These are the students that badly needed our help with the proper clothing for the Alaska weather. Winter gloves and winter beanies are already provided through our generous donors here at Donors Choose community.
What is still in need is the long awaited winter JACKETS.
English Language Learner students also at the same time needs our extra emotional support and understanding. Making them feel that they are welcomed makes their adjustment to their new learning environment a lot faster. I believed one way of welcoming them is to show them our hospitality by providing them their physical and emotional needs.
REPRESENTATIVE books that speaks about the different culture, tradition and beliefs speaks volume to them. Inclusive environment should be catered through the resources and materials that they can read and utilize in their classroom.
RACIAL representation through language and literacy at school should be one of the best practices in classroom settings.
It is one of my goal as a teacher to teach the students to be able to appreciate and understand each other's cultural differences. Make known to them that together-- regardless of their skin color, they can do great and remarkable thing at school.
