My Project

My students are full of curiosity and energy—and there's no better way to channel that excitement than through a vibrant, hands-on celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! We’re planning a Cultural Fair at my school that will let students experience the rich traditions of Mexico through dress, music, and celebration. But to make this event truly immersive and joyful, we need your help.

With your support, we hope to provide mini sombrero hats and colorful Mexican poncho costumes so students can dress up and feel part of the culture they’re learning about.

We also want to introduce them to the rhythms and sounds of traditional music by providing hand drums for a hands-on percussion station. Finally, we'll set the scene with authentic Mexican party decorations—think papel picado, bright banners, and festive flair—to transform our space into a lively cultural showcase.

The goal is to honor Hispanic heritage in a way that’s both respectful and engaging. These materials will help our students not just observe, but participate—creating lasting memories, building empathy, and inspiring cultural curiosity.
