My Students
The special education students are inquisitive and constantly improving their skills! My students work hard in our classroom to build the bridges needed to enhance their abilities and meet the goals set in front of them. We work as a small group to fill in gaps that students have due to a variety of reasons. The goal in my classroom is that all students feel confident, comfortable, and know that I will help them as they work to reach their potential!
My Project
My classroom is filled with an assortment of decompression tools, fidgets, and stress-relieving items to help my special needs students escape the pressures of school. Covid has definitely put additional stress on some students and when all else fails classroom pets appear to be a very calming presence for them all. I plan to use this cage to house a French lop rabbit that was donated to us specifically because of his ability to relax and hang out with the students. He currently has to stay at home as I do not have a cage available in my classroom. This would help me bring him here so the students can start enjoying some time with him during times of frustration or anxiety.
