This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We love science! We are a high poverty school nestled in Northern California. We have experienced several budget cuts, but we are standing strong. The class is a bright, energetic kindergarten class that never lacks excitement. We love exploring and helping animals.
We need extra supplies, but there is no extra money this year and the school is very high poverty.
We wish to have a few supplies this year to help us along our scientific journey of inquiry. We love to learn about science! It just so happens are crazy kindergarten teacher came across a homeless rabbit, dropped off by a person who no longer wanted to take care of this rabbit. She offered to take him in, but has no cage or supplies for him. His name is Landon the Great. He will be joining us as soon as we get this project funded! He is such a nice rabbit we cannot believe someone just dumped him. Please help our class get this great class bunny, but goes home nightly with our teacher.
My Project
Our teacher asked us what certain things they wanted to study this year and they all said animals and then narrowed it down to frogs, insects, and plants. We always are learning the "big idea" in science and we are also learning about Systems and Orders in this unit. We will be able to collect data and share it with our friends and begin our way to being the smart little scientists we are! With this rabbit we will be able to observe to explore and write down certain animal behaviors. The rabbit will not be a cage bunny, but goes home to our teacher where she is litter training him, and he is part of her family. We need a cage for this abandoned rabbit! He will only be in a cage during the day , but we will be able to hold him and pet him. This will be such a great part of our day. Please help us get the cage for Landon the Great.
Your donation no matter how small will help these amazing little kindergarten scientists become intellectual and empowered.
People like you can make a difference. With one small stroke of a random act of kindness you can change the world if not one little child at a time. Science is an essential part of kindergarten, and animals often help calm students down. Thank you for looking. Peace love and many bunnies of love! Thank you for your donations.
