This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently have 25 six- and seven-year-old students in my classroom. I am teaching first graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and two ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Several of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.
My Project
Flu season has hit my classroom. We need to do something fast to get healthier.
We need materials from Quill such as: paper towels, tissues, hand sanitizer and Lysol spray and wipe to help to reduce the amount of germs in our classroom.
Please help my students get materials that will them to be healthier.
My students will use the tissues and hand sanitizer for when they sneeze. They will use the Lysol spray, wipes and paper towel to clean our room after they eat breakfast in our room.
Lastly, they will use the Charmin toilet paper for when the bathroom has run out of toilet paper.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
