Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Young children love being praised for doing a good job. Help me motivate my students to do their best every day by providing incentives and art supplies for our classroom!
My transitional kindergarten students are just turning 5 years old.
They will be with me this year, then go on to kindergarten next year. Some of them are just learning English for the first time, and some of them have learning disabilities. Many of them receive free or reduced price lunch because their families live below the poverty line. All of them enjoy school and come each day with an eagerness to learn and participate in our class activities.
My Project
I am requesting incentives to motivate my students to work hard, pay attention and follow our school rules. Studies have been done which show that providing rewards such as stickers, certificates and small prizes is an effective way to engage young learners and get them to do the work that is needed to improve in many areas of the school curriculum.
I am also requesting card stock, sentence strips, fun paper, paint and glitter glue to use for various art projects throughout the year. These items are not provided as regular supplies by our school district, so I am asking for your help.
Your donations will provide many art supplies and incentives to help my students have a wonderful, productive year.
You can double your donation because Quill has offered to match donations to projects that request materials from Quill! Thank you so much for your help.
