Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently have 25 six- and seven-year-old students in my classroom. I am teaching first graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and two English as a Second Language students in my classroom. Several of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.

My Project

My students are in need of a various items. We need one more book bag. When I did the book bag request I only had 24 students. Since that time, we got one more student. Please help us to get instant oatmeal and bowls so that my students can have a hot, healthy breakfast or snack. We have a bird theme in our classroom this year. We would love to get bird birthday rewards such as notepads, bookmarks, stickers and even a planner book.

These wonderful materials from Quill will make a big difference in our classroom.
