My multilingual Deaf students are amazing! At our Dual Language school, we strive to empower our students as Deaf individuals to be lifelong learners and innovative thinkers with diverse linguistic, ethnic, and cultural identities who are fluent in both American Sign Language and English.
I need your help to ensure that my students have unfettered access to a better listening environment by adding acoustic tiles, panels, and rugs to the hard surfaces in our classroom.
Acoustic panels work by absorbing sound waves instead of reflecting them, which reduces echoes and reverberations. Additional rugs and portable speakers will also help improve the sound quality in our classroom. Thank you for helping us improve our classroom environment for learning, listening, and language!
