Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am fortunate to have a diverse community of students on my campus! About 20% of our students are Bilingual English-Spanish learners. These students need to be able to develop reading skills in both languages. We also have many students every year that come to our campus that only speak Spanish.
We need books in our library that reflect the needs of all our students!
Everyone deserves to be able to read and develop literacy skills in their native language. These popular books in Spanish will help ALL of my students learn to love reading and create a welcoming environment for all my wonderful students. We want everyone to know that the library is a welcoming, accepting place that supports every student.
