My Students

Most of my students love learning how to play tennis but have never played on a tennis court.

I teach k-5 physical education in a Title I school to about 630 students.

The majority of my students come from low income single family homes. Most of my students are not exposed to a variety of sports like tennis. My students are eager learners and love to move and learn new sports.

My Project

Because of a previous grant, I was able to paint tennis lines on my parking lot and now have 3 courts that are age appropriate. The addition of the Wilson EZ tennis net would allow my students to not only learn the game of tennis but play on a kids regulation court.

With your donation, I will be able quickly set up this portable net for outside tennis and then quickly transition for inside play during recess time.

My students will learn the fundamentals of tennis, scoring, strategies, and singles/doubles play.
