I keep them active, but I want to step it up a notch and help them become quick and active!
My students need to be pushed to remain active outside of school.
We service a lot of lower socio-economic families that don't have the best home life. They go all out when at school for PE and recess, but I want them to take it home! They need to be taught easy activities that they can use at home to remain active.
My Project
If this project is funded I will be able to go into greater detail with my lessons on circuit relays and obstacle courses using the circuit training guide. I will be able to elaborate even more than I do now with these extra resources. The ladders and hurdles will be excellent tools to work on their quick feet. The fitness spots will require my students to really think and use both sides of their brain. Therefore, my students will get a much greater opportunity to improve on their speed, agility and overall fitness!
I think I have said this before...Help me help my students!
I firmly believe that this project would help open up so many more teaching avenues for me. And those avenues are only going to help my students achieve more, not only physically, but mentally as well!
