Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The water bottles and individually wrapped snack bags I am requesting will significantly impact my 5th graders' learning by ensuring they stay hydrated and energized throughout the day. Many of my students come to school without a water bottle, and having access to one will help them focus and stay engaged in lessons. The snacks will provide them with an extra boost of energy, especially during long learning periods, ensuring they can concentrate without the distraction of hunger.
My goal for this project is to create a supportive classroom environment where students can focus on their education without basic needs getting in the way.
By providing water bottles, I hope to encourage healthy hydration habits, and with the snacks, I aim to support students who may not always have access to extra food at home.
My students' resilience, enthusiasm for learning, and sense of community make them special. As students in a Title 1 school, they face challenges outside the classroom, yet they come in every day eager to learn and grow. They support one another, work hard, and take pride in their education. By providing these small but essential items, I hope to remove barriers and help them continue striving for success.
