Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
M students are in the most restrictive environment due to their specific behavioral and social-emotional needs.
My class engages in Community Based Instruction (CBI) activities as an alternative to traditional learning.
CBI is educational instruction in naturally occurring community environments. It provides students with “real life experiences.”
We are located in a small mountain town with limited community based outings and rely on our natural surroundings and resources for many activities.
We often have to walk to the river, park or nearby mountain for hands-on learning.
These Gatorades will help hydrate my students while we are on our social emotional outings. The Pringles are an added bonus for a tasty snack while we are off campus.
