Quenching Knowledge: Enhance Library Comfort and Sustainability with Water
Help me give my students a 5-gallon water dispenser to provide convenient access to water. This dispenser will support sustainability by reducing plastic waste, and ensure hydration for students, staff, and visitors during periods of study or work.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our library serves as a vital hub for learning, providing students with a quiet space to study, access resources, and engage with materials for both academic and personal growth. The addition of a 5-gallon water dispenser will directly enhance the library environment by offering students a convenient and sustainable source of hydration. This simple but impactful change will allow students to focus on their studies without needing to leave the library in search of water, encouraging longer, more productive study sessions.
Our goal for this project is to provide students with a comfortable, well-equipped space that supports both their intellectual and physical well-being.
Hydration is essential for cognitive function, and by having access to water, students can stay refreshed and energized while working through assignments, reading, and conducting research. This project will also align with our sustainability goals by reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles.
Our students are diverse and dedicated individuals, many of whom spend extended hours in the library to achieve academic success. They come from a range of backgrounds, and for some, the library is their primary space for study and personal development. Ensuring their comfort and providing them with basic needs, such as easy access to drinking water, will help create an environment conducive to learning and growth. By meeting this need, we demonstrate our commitment to supporting their academic and personal achievements.
