This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Where and how you are raised, should not determine the opportunities and experiences you are afforded. I am excited to inspire and engage all of my students to build upon interests, learn new skills, and inspire each child to find and nurture educational creative avenues.
With such a variety of socioeconomic needs within our school's boundaries, there is great needs to help give these students all of the opportunities that are available to kids in more affluent areas.
Our kids need and deserve to have every extra we can give them, to help bridge the severe gaps that they have in their lives outside of school.
My Project
Many of our students that are quarantined do not have the access to proper kitchen equipment or groceries to be able to complete missing lab work at home. They are at a disadvantage to other students in more affluent areas that are able to do make up labs at home while quarantined.
These pieces of kitchen equipment will give my students the same opportunity as students in affluent areas and schools.
They would be able to use these rapid cooking options to do labs in a much faster time when they come back and are trying to get caught up.
